The BRIT Awards 2023
The biggest event in British music every year, and the biggest event of the weekend for us. We absolutely loved watching the Brit's over the weekend, and as always, our favourite part is the fashion. Roman Kemp, Clara Amfo & Maya Jama began by heading the red carpet interviews (is there anything Maya isn't doing right now?). The show was then hosted by Mo Gilligan, the comedian took over hosting of the show last year from Joel Dommett. The show had 3.9 million viewers watching, the most it has ever had, showing that moving it to a Saturday night certainly paid of for producers.
Maya wore a black strapless dress, with gold detail, by 'Schiaparelli'. She teamed the look with a sleek updo, and her signature glowy, natural makeup. For the show she swapped to a gorgeous floor length, sparkling, silver gown, with thigh split. Maya hosted her own afterparty on a boat, inviting all of her closest friends.
One outfit that has had jaws dropping (and talking) all weekend, is Sam Smith's outfit choice. He wore a crazy black outfit, that we can barely describe so we'll just show you:
Sam is clearly a genius, as he knew this outfit would definitely get people talking, and that was probably his aim. Who doesn't want to be the most talked about celeb at the Brits?
Its also reported by onlookers, that Laura Whitmore and Maya Jama (former and current Love Island hosts) didn't speak to each other once during the show, despite sitting on the same table. Bitter blood about Love Island?
Maya's party also reportedly lasted very late on the River Thames boat, but hopefully she isn't too hungover today, as we'll be seeing her tonight on Love Island, and Love Island After Sun... and of course, it's Casa Amor night!!!
